Objectives, Targets and Indicators


1 - Objectives : Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger


Target 1:  Halve, between 2009 and 2030, the proportion of people whose income is less than one dollar a day.

Target 2  : Halve, between 2009 and 2030, the proportion of people who suffer from hunger

2- Objectives:   Achieve universal primary education

Target 3: By 2030, giving all children, boys and girls around the country Haitian departments, to complete a full course of primary schooling.

3- Objectives Promote gender equality and empower 

Target 4: Eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education by 2005 if possible, and all levels of education in 2030 at the latest.


 4- Objectifves : Reduce mortality of children

Target 5: Reduce by two thirds, between 2009 and 2030, the mortality rate of children



 5- Objectives: Improve maternal health


Target 6: Reduce by three quarters, between 2009 and 2030 the maternal mortality rate



 6- Objectives : Combat HIV / AIDS, malaria and other diseases


Target 7:  By 2030 have halted the spread of HIV / AIDS and begun to reverse the current trend.

Target 8: By 2030, having mastered malaria and other diseases, and begun to reverse.


7- Objectives: Ensure environmental sustainability

Target 9:  Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and reverse the loss of environmental resources 
Target 10: Halve, by 2030, the percentage of the Haitian population without access to sustainable supplies of safe drinking water and sanitation services base.



8- Objectives :  Establish a national and global partnership for development


Target 12: Pursue the establishment of a trading and financial system open, rules-based, predictable and non discriminatory. This requires a commitment to good governance, development and the fight against poverty, both nationally and internationally.

Target 13: To Address the special needs of Haiti. 

Target 14: To Address the special needs of rural island development (through the Program of Action for the Sustainable Development of rural island developing 

Target 15:  Helping to deal comprehensively with the debt problem of cooperating in rural areas, through measures at national and international measures to make debt sustainable in the long term.

Target  16: In cooperation with associations, develop and implement strategies that enable young people to find decent and productive work.

Target 17:  In cooperation with pharmaceutical companies, provide access to essential medicines available and affordable in developing countries. 

Target 18: In cooperation with the private sector, to ensure that the benefits of new technologies, especially information technology and communications are accessible to all.
